Adjunct Instructor of Business

Job Summary The Adjunct Instructor of Business is responsible for developing and instructing course materials within the business disciplines. Adjuncts receive working titles relative to their academic discipline. Key Responsibilities 60% - Development of course materials: timely submission of syllabus and supporting materials to the Division. Instruction of courses: communication of grades, submission of Student Learning Outcomes, evaluation of student performance, and participation in remediation plan development. 35% - Office hours. 5% - Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution OR a Master’s degree in an unrelated field plus 18 credit hours in a related business field from a regionally accredited institution. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in a related field from a regionally accredited institution. At least 2 years of teaching experience, both in-person and online. Physical Demands Position requires the following physical activities: 33% of time (0-2.5 hrs/day): Reaching (above and below shoulder), grasping, twisting. 33-66% of time (2.5–5.5 hrs/day): Walking, standing, sitting. Job Competencies Ability to teach effectively and incorporate diverse teaching strategies. Ability to work with diverse populations. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Ability to build professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community. Ability to adhere to university policies and meet deadlines. Organizational skills. Compensation Pay will be determined per LSUE Policy Statement Number 46.
