Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Department Manager to join its Civil/Site Land Development team in Huntsville, Alabama. We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic leader, who can help us build out our Civil/Site Land Development team.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
• Establishes effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for assigned team.
• Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
• Develops marketing program in conjunction with discipline goals.
• Advises and assists professionals in other groups when expert knowledge and expertise is required.
• Manages activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects.
• Reviews monthly productivity and man-hour utilization-rates, reports and makes adjustments as needed.
• Assigns projects to staff and schedules work.
• Evaluates employee performance in accordance with company policy.
• Oversees assigned staff development and advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in related field.
• Professional licensure in area of expertise.
• Demonstrated effective leadership across large groups of employees.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strategic thinking.
• Effective delegation skills.
• Ability to hold others accountable.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
