Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a dynamic hospital environment. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective treatment through expert clinical skills and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Perform standard nursing procedures such as IV insertions, urinary catheter placements, and central line maintenance.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of Texas or appropriate licensure.
• At least 1 year of recent acute med/surg experience.
• Ability to care for 4-6 patients simultaneously, demonstrating strong clinical judgment.
• Preferred: 2+ years of med/surg experience, with additional neuro-surgery or orthopedics background.
• Strong interpersonal skills, friendly, patient-centered, team-focused.
