Aerospace Engineer

Earthly Dynamics Corporation (EDC) is a rapidly growing aerospace R&D firm in Roswell, Georgia, pioneering autonomous control technologies for unmanned aircraft and precision airdrop systems. Our multidisciplinary teams tackle challenging problems from sensor integration to flight‑test validation, all in a collaborative, hands‑on environment. Position Summary: We are seeking an Aerospace Engineer to support the development of advanced autonomous flight platforms and related aerospace technologies. This position is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in flight dynamics, aerodynamics, simulation, and control system design. Key Responsibilities: Develop flight dynamic models for flight platforms systems. Create aerodynamic models from first principles, empirical data, wind tunnel data, CFD results, and flight test data. Develop simulation tools for system design, performance prediction, guidance and control evaluation, and mission analysis. Design, analyze, and tune flight control systems for autonomous and semi‑autonomous aerospace platforms. Support guidance, navigation, and control algorithm development. Analyze flight test data to identify system performance, validate models, and improve control system behavior. Support flight test planning, execution, troubleshooting, and post‑test analysis. Work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and flight test personnel to transition designs from analysis to functioning hardware. Prepare technical reports, briefings, test plans, and documentation for internal use and government customers. Required Qualifications: B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field required (M.S. or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline preferred). Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Ability to develop practical engineering models and use them to guide real hardware development. Ability to work independently and as part of a small multidisciplinary team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to travel periodically for flight test events. Citizenship: Due to ITAR regulations and sponsor requirements, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders.
