Chad Peterson - State Farm Agency in Las Cruces, NM is looking for a friendly, professional and customer-focused Bilingual (Spanish/English) Customer Service Representative to join our team.

This is an insurance customer service role focused on helping existing customers with their policies, answering questions, providing ongoing support and making sure customers receive responsive, personalized service.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you will work directly with customers by phone, email and in person to provide ongoing support with their insurance policies.

You will assist customers with questions about their coverage, policy changes, payments, documents and other service needs while working closely with the agency team to make sure each customer receives the right assistance.

The ideal candidate is someone who communicates confidently in both English and Spanish, enjoys helping people and can handle multiple customer requests while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide friendly, professional customer service to existing State Farm customers
• Communicate with customers fluently in both English and Spanish
• Answer incoming customer calls and respond to customer questions
• Assist customers with policy questions, changes and general service needs
• Help customers understand their insurance coverage and available options
• Assist with policy updates, payments, documents and other customer requests
• Follow up with customers to make sure their questions and service needs are resolved
• Schedule customer appointments and coordinate follow-up with the agency team
• Identify customer needs and connect customers with the appropriate agency team member when additional assistance is needed
• Maintain accurate customer information and policy records
• Provide timely and professional follow-up on customer requests
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers
• Support the agency team with day-to-day customer service activities
• Help create a positive customer experience at every point of contact

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Fluent in English and Spanish – required
• Property and Casualty Insurance licensing – must be able to obtain
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Insurance or financial services experience is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities
• Professional, friendly and customer-focused attitude
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple customer requests and follow up effectively
• Comfortable using computers, email and customer service systems
• Dependable, professional and motivated
• Ability to learn insurance products, agency procedures and computer systems

INSURANCE EXPERIENCE

Insurance experience is helpful but not required .

Candidates with customer service, insurance, banking, financial services or other client-facing experience are encouraged to apply.

Training will be provided on agency systems, procedures and insurance products. An insurance license will be required as the role develops, depending on job responsibilities and state requirements.
