Salesperson/Store Driver Store

Salesperson Entry level position that supports the DIY business by providing excellent sales and service. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and parts knowledge, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. In‑depth knowledge of inventory and maintenance processes is essential. Position can be part‑time or full‑time. Fleet safety certification is preferred. Responsibilities Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers via in‑store visits and phone calls. Achieve personal sales goal and assist store in meeting its sales targets. Perform DIY services such as battery installation, testing, wiper blade change, etc. Maintain store product and operational standards. Handle inventory processes including truck putaway, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and back‑stock management. Secondary Responsibilities Maintain store cleanliness – floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot. Perform general stocking of trucks and back‑stock areas. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed. Success Factors Basic driving and navigation ability. Proficiency with delivery board system. Friendly and effective communication. Ability to locate and stock parts. Safety knowledge and skills. Operating inventory systems and store equipment. Parts and automotive system knowledge. Operating POS and parts lookup systems. Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service. Essential Job Skills Speak and write English; Spanish a plus. Build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals. Perform basic math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Work assorted days, evenings, and weekends as needed. Prior Experience 2‑3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment. Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Work usually inside but occasionally outside, exposed to weather. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock risk, and vibration. Noise level usually moderate.
