About the Role
The Company is seeking a Department Chair for Physiology and Pharmacology to provide strategic leadership and guidance across the full spectrum of departmental activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for academic administration, curriculum development, faculty affairs, and research, with a focus on cultivating an environment where faculty and students can thrive. This role involves championing excellence in teaching, promoting scholarly activity, and ensuring the department is innovative and aligned with institutional priorities. The Department Chair will also oversee compliance with accreditation standards, manage departmental budgets, and support faculty growth through mentoring and professional development. Candidates for the Department Chair position should have a strong record of academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to excellence in education and scholarly activity. The role requires the ability to lead and support a diverse faculty community, manage departmental resources, and serve as a key advocate for the department. The ideal candidate will have a background that is consistent with appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level and will be expected to contribute to the company's mission of advancing biomedical discovery alongside clinical education.
