Child & Family Agency (CFA) seeks a full‑time Registered Nurse to work the 2nd shift as an integral part of the care team for the Urgent Crisis Center (UCC) at CFA. The UCC is a free‑standing behavioral health crisis stabilization program designed to triage, stabilize, and assess youth who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, and then link the youth/family to an appropriate level of care within the community. This is a fast‑paced environment that operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Primary responsibilities Medical, psychiatric, substance abuse triaging of clients Provide crisis stabilization/de‑escalation services to children, adolescents and families who present to the Urgent Crisis Center Support day‑to‑day operations of the services program procedures collaboratively with the Program Manager and Director of the UCC Collaborate with UCC Team to identify and respond to client and family needs Provide quantitative and qualitative documentation of sessions and summary documentation in Electronic Medical Record database within Agency‑specified timeframes Positively collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including medical, psychiatric and behavioral health professionals Actively participate in supervision and team meetings Provide skilled nursing interventions targeted at pediatric psychiatric and substance abuse population needs, as the clinical situation and treatment plan demands Qualifications Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred Background in SUD/psychiatric nursing, preferred Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification, current #J-18808-Ljbffr CFA (Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT)
