Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a day shift contract role requiring a minimum of 1 year of IR experience, with eligibility extended to first-time travelers.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday–Friday with a variable day off, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Call requirement includes 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend rotation based on staffing volume
• May float to Cath Lab and EP within scope of practice as needed
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required
• Active professional licensure required at time of consideration, if applicable
• Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are strongly preferred — some units require two on file for review
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests will be considered — the posted shift is firm

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• RTO is capped at 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work 2, and 1 holiday RTO request may be submitted for approval
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Candidates undergo a clinical screening process to assess clinical fit prior to manager review
• Full compliance must be completed on time; delays may result in a 2-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Travel pairs will not be placed on the same shift within the same unit
