About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS preferred, with training available if not held Must-Have: Experience in General OR and Trauma preferred. Description: Please ensure that the traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign the traveler to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract to take a position, the traveler accepts the above and will report as assigned by the unit manager if an emergency event occurs. Travelers should not apply for this role if they are not comfortable with the above conditions. The shift is 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekends may be required once every six weeks. Possible call may be required, and shifts might vary, including weekends (to be discussed during the interview). Holiday coverage is as needed. It is preferred that travelers have experience with Epic charting systems. Previous charge experience is a plus. Travel experience is required. Skills related to various surgical procedures are preferred. Additional information about patient demographics includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services, phlebotomy, and radiology. Resources who worked as permanent staff must have been separated from their previous position for one full year before applying for travel.
