Principal Project Manager

Job Description Overview We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Project Manager to join our Marietta, GA office. How will you contribute to the team? Act as a communication liaison between County Department of Transportation and City officials. Establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with public officials, and with other county or local governmental departments. Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to project stakeholders. Communicates with the general public, County and City leadership, employees, and elected officials to provide information regarding capital improvement project design and construction. Prepares various written documents including council reports, memos, studies, and correspondence in order to evaluate progress and respond to information requests. Prepare and provide reports/presentations to the Board of Commissioners, City Council, and to various groups and organizations as called upon. What will you contribute? Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia required. Minimum 10 years of experience in an engineering/project management role on local government projects. Previous experience in Traffic Engineering preferred Previous experience in a Liaison position preferred. Experience working with elected officials and local government officials. Knowledge and experience in local government public infrastructure planning, design, and construction. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external customers. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proven experience in project coordination or management. Knowledge of GDOT, federal and local regulations as they apply to local government capital improvement projects.
