Job Overview:

The Industrial Air Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and growing existing accounts for the Industrial Air Service Department, including the sale of equipment, preventative maintenance programs, parts and controls solutions to industrial and commercial customers. This is an individual-contributor outside sales role reporting to the Industrial Air Service Manager

. Job Scope:

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within an assigned territory or customer base for Industrial Air service, preventative maintenance, parts, and controls.
• Develop and execute a sales plan to meet or exceed assigned revenue and margin targets for the Department.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customer facility, maintenance, and operations personnel to become the preferred mechanical service provider.
• Prepare estimates and proposals for equipment, materials, projects, and service agreements, coordinating with the Service Manager and technicians on scope and pricing.
• Conduct outside sales activities, including regular travel within the territory and occasional overnight stays.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal legal requirements, and consistently maintain the highest level of business ethics.
• Lead by example through personal compliance with all Company safety policies and procedures and verify that required safety measures are reflected in proposals and customer agreements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop proposals — often involving cost-effectiveness or return-on-investment calculations based on site visits, blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Determine customer needs and work closely with customers to identify the most cost-effective and sellable solutions, increasing and sustaining customer loyalty.
• Partner with the Service Manager and technicians to confirm technical feasibility, scheduling, and staffing before finalizing customer commitments.
• Maintain an accurate and current sales pipeline and forecast using Company CRM/reporting tools.
• Conduct post-sale follow-up with customers to confirm all sales agreements have been fulfilled and customers are satisfied with all aspects of the transaction.
• Support customer satisfaction by identifying performance-enhancement opportunities and proactively resolving issues.
• Assure Company financial standards are maintained, including profitability, payment terms, and accurate invoicing on all sales agreements.
• Maintain accurate, timely customer and opportunity records, expense reports, and sales activity documentation.
• Follow up with internal and external contacts in a timely manner.
• Stay current on new products, technologies, and service offerings relevant to Industrial Air, HVAC, temperature controls, and refrigeration.
• Other duties as assigned by the Industrial Air Service Manager or Location Manager.

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Compressed Air Equipment Sales
• Demonstrated outside sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals preferred.

• Computer literate with good working knowledge of office products and CRM/sales tracking tools.
• Ability to communicate and sell services, equipment, and systems; capable of successfully closing sales agreements and maintaining strong, lasting customer relationships.
• Above-average organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with management, service, purchasing, accounting, and field personnel, as well as vendors, customers, and subcontractors outside the Company.
• A desire to continually learn new methods and technologies, and to identify more efficient ways to perform existing processes.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and incorporate constructive feedback and new ideas into practice.

Education/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Industry-specific certifications and licenses a plus.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 25–30 lbs.; sit for long periods of time; type; hear; see; speak English clearly; operate business equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, spell, and calculate; understand and follow written instructions; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and listen effectively.
• Must possess prioritizing, organizational, multitasking, and stress-management skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
