The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a renowned logistics and warehousing organization, and we are looking for a skilled and experienced Warehouse Handler with Forklift experience to care for and protect valuable fine art, antiques, and luxury assets, at its Melville, NY location. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a critical role in the safe handling, storage, and movement of high-value collections within a state-of-the-art, fully temperature-controlled facility, while adhering to established standards and environmental protocols. This position offers the opportunity to work in a unique environment where precision, professionalism, and attention to detail help preserve irreplaceable items for the clients.

What You'll Do

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents
• Safely load, unload, transport, and position artwork, antiques, and other high-value goods using forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Organize and store inventory in designated locations while maintaining optimal accessibility and preservation standards.
• Prepare, package, and stage outgoing shipments with a focus on accuracy, protection, and quality & in compliance with shipping standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse environment.
• Perform routine inventory counts and report discrepancies to management
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support daily warehouse operations and ensure exceptional service standards.
• Adhere to all safety, security, and environmental protocols designed to protect valuable collections and assets.

What We Are Looking For

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Basic knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures. Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material-handling equipment (certification preferred but not required). Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established processes and instructions accurately. Forklift operator certification. Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, shipping, receiving, or inventory environment. Familiarity with inventory management systems, barcode scanners, and warehouse technology. Basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking, data entry, and operational reporting. Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
