UAT Tester

Job Description

As a valued contributor on our Quality Engineering team, you will support quality assurance and testing activities for mortgage technology applications, with a primary focus on Uniform Closing Disclosure (UCD) solutions and supporting Single-Family business processes.

You will partner with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and other quality engineers to ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong mortgage industry knowledge, hands-on automation testing experience, and the ability to analyze complex business workflows while identifying and mitigating quality risks throughout the software development lifecycle.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Quality Tester Analyst role will offer you the flexibility to contribute across the software testing lifecycle while working alongside a collaborative team to deliver the following responsibilities:

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
\n
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end (E2E), system, and user acceptance testing activities.
\n
• Conduct API testing and backend validation of applications and services.
\n
• Develop and enhance automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and BDD/Gherkin methodologies.
\n
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and validate business functionality.
\n
• Analyze defects, identify root causes, document findings, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
\n
• Validate XML-based transactions and data exchanges, including MISMO-compliant mortgage datasets.
\n
• Execute database validation and perform backend testing using Oracle and SQL queries.
\n
• Support testing efforts related to Uniform Closing Disclosure (UCD), mortgage loan origination, loan closing, and loan acquisition processes.
\n
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
\n
• Create and maintain test documentation, test evidence, defect reports, and quality metrics.
\n
• Utilize Jira and GitLab to manage testing activities and support continuous integration and delivery processes.
\n
• Leverage modern AI-assisted tools, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Visual Studio Code capabilities, to improve productivity, accelerate analysis, and enhance testing effectiveness.
\n
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality engineering best practices, automation maturity, and process optimization.
\n

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experience

\n
• 5+ years of Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience.
\n
• 3+ years of experience testing enterprise web and backend applications.
\n
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
\n
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
\n
