Job Details:


• Minimum 2+ years of acute care CT experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted unless candidate has 10+ years of CT experience
• Perform approximately 20 scans per shift
• Work with outpatient, ED, inpatient, and Level IV Trauma scan patients
• Perform a variety of scan types including strokes, brain CTAs, CT perfusions, abdomen, extremities, spine, neck, head, and pulmonary embolisms
• Patient population includes toddlers through adults (infants rare)
• Canon CT scanner experience required; Canon and Toshiba experience highly preferred
• Must be comfortable working independently
• IV starts, CT perfusions, and experience with biopsies and special procedures preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• PACS: McKesson; medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Canon Scanners 80 slice and 40 slice used on unit
• No floating to other units
• No on-call responsibilities
• Set schedule with weekend rotation
• Holidays worked if they fall on a scheduled day; time-off requests go through manager
• Scrub color: Any solid color, professional; no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available on site
• Required certifications and licenses: ARRT (CT), Wisconsin State License, BLS


Facility:


This facility is a 60-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Stroke Ready Facility offering a wide range of imaging services. The CT department features two scanners shared back-to-back with a control room and is supported by a collaborative team including a Lead CT Technologist on day shift, an Imaging Patient Assistant, a Radiology Nurse, a Concierge at the Imaging Desk, Phlebotomy services, a House Supervisor available after hours, and MRI and X-ray services available 24/7. The unit is known for its fun and close-knit culture.
