Health Information Operations Supervisor

The Health Information Operations Supervisor is responsible for client/customer service and serves as a knowledge expert for the HIS staff. The role focuses on front line people management and training, as well as ensuring processes are completed in compliance with established guidelines. This role may also assist leadership with planning, developing, and implementing departmental or regional projects. This role supports the Health Information Operations Manager. The Supervisor will maintain workflow and productivity of HISs, handle escalated situations, drive a positive work environment, assist in new hire processes, meet with clients, provide call support, process ROI, fax, manage client relations, report, manage performance, handle payroll, time and attendance. You will: Have a passion to lead, train and motivate a growing and excited team. Communicate and collaborate with leadership on issues, opportunities, or challenges. Lead the audit team receiving requests from payors. Review data and provide client and leadership solutions. Comfortably bring new ideas, process‑improvement suggestions, and feedback to internal stakeholders. Manage requests coming in from the risk management team of the client. Lead client locations and plan for fluctuating needs. Oversee escalation calls from centralized call centers. Participate in project teams and committees to advance operational strategies and initiatives. Coordinate with location/client management on complex issues while building strong relationships. What you will bring to the table: A true leadership philosophy in which the goal of the leader is to serve. Ability to support clients and your team working both on‑site and remotely. 1–2 years of health information related experience. Well‑versed with HIPAA standards. A knack for presenting to leadership, clients, and your team via video or in person. Solution‑oriented and forward‑thinking. Detail‑ and quality‑oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records. Proficiency with Power BI and MS Office. Training & Onboarding Datavant DHISC training. Hands‑on, role‑specific training during the first 30 days. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Prior healthcare, HIM, medical records, or ROI experience required. Experience with ROI and EMR systems required. Lead or supervisory experience preferred. Ability to travel locally and work on‑site regularly. Proficiency with computers, email, and office equipment.
