About the Role

The Company is in need of an Interim CFO to provide strategic financial leadership during a transitional period. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, supporting executive leadership, and ensuring the organization maintains strong financial stewardship across multiple funding sources and programs. Key responsibilities for the Interim CFO include providing executive-level financial leadership, reviewing financial reports for accuracy and compliance, managing a 13-week rolling cash flow forecast, and monitoring organizational liquidity to identify financial risks and opportunities. The role also involves supporting relationships with funding sources, leading audit preparation, and mentoring accounting and finance staff. Applicants for the Interim CFO position at the company should have a strong background in nonprofit accounting and financial management, with experience in grant management, cash flow forecasting, audits, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a CFO, Fractional CFO, VP of Finance, or in a similar senior financial leadership role. Advanced knowledge of cash flow forecasting and financial planning, as well as the ability to operate both strategically and tactically, are essential. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required, and experience within nonprofit, social services, healthcare, or other mission-driven organizations is preferred. The Interim CFO will also be expected to partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives, and to evaluate financial processes for operational improvements.
