Job Summary : Welders Supply & Gases is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Counter Sales & Warehouse Associate to join our Elizabethtown branch team. This hands-on position combines customer service, sales support, order processing, inventory, and warehouse responsibilities.

This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys helping customers, learning about industrial products, and staying active throughout the workday. Previous experience with welding equipment, industrial supplies, or compressed gases is helpful but not required. We provide hands-on training for the right candidate.

What You Will Do:

• Assist customers in person and by phone with purchases, orders, and product questions. 
• Learn about welding equipment, industrial supplies, compressed gases, and related products. 
• Recommend appropriate products and accessories based on customer needs. 
• Provide information regarding product availability, order status, and shipments. 
• Accurately enter and process customer orders. 
• Handle cash, credit card, and customer account transactions. 
• Process compressed gas cylinder purchases, returns, and exchanges. 
• Receive incoming merchandise and verify products. 
• Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing customer orders and shipments. 
• Stock merchandise and maintain accurate product and pricing labels. 
• Load and unload cylinders, trucks, trailers, and customer vehicles. 
• Maintain organized inventory locations and accurate product identification. 
• Keep the counter, showroom, cylinder dock, and warehouse clean, organized, and safe. 
• Work closely with team members to support customers and daily branch operations. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required 
• Previous customer service, counter sales, retail, warehouse, or industrial experience is helpful but not required 
• Welding, compressed gas, or industrial supply experience is a plus 

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift 50–75 pounds. 
• Safely maneuver cylinders weighing more than 100 pounds by rolling them or using appropriate equipment. 
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull for extended periods. 
• Perform customer-facing and physical material-handling duties throughout the workday. 
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. 
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
