Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Thornton, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care L&D experience and working night shifts (7P–7A).

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building, featuring 14 LDRPs and 2 ORs
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for Labor & Delivery and 3:1 for Postpartum, per AWHONN guidelines
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Unit team includes 1 charge RN, 2–3 L&D RNs, and 2–3 Postpartum RNs per shift
• Procedures performed include external cephalic versions, C-sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and D&Cs
• EMR: Meditech/CPN (experience preferred)
• Equipment used includes Beacon monitoring systems
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics), and EFM-C or intermediate/advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring certification (or NCCEFM)
• Minimum 1 year of recent, acute care hospital L&D RN experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Additional Information

• Postpartum experience is highly preferred
• Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• The ideal candidate is adaptable, flexible, and able to maintain a consistent, professional demeanor
