Hours: 48 hours/week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hours/day, 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables that impact the farm’s operation.

Job Duties:
Perform general farm labor and assist with the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest handling of crops, including working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers. Repair, service, and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled equipment, much of which is equipped with GPS, including planters, combines, grain carts, and tillage tools, to plow, harrow, fertilize soil, and to plant, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops such as wheat, soybeans, milo, and corn.
Additional duties include loading agricultural inputs, driving trucks to transport supplies to fields, loading harvested crops, and transporting crops to nearby storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, or piles/bags. Workers will clean work areas and maintain farm grounds and landscaping, regulate equipment and environmental conditions as needed, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, mix materials and dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery, and attach implements using hand tools.
Worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.
Employer maintains a drug, and alcohol-free workplace. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Minimum Education Required
No High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Required
Worker must be able to speak and understand English.
Worker must be able to obtain a valid driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire and maintain a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
Worker must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
Worker must be able to perform work that requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.

Additional Compensation
Employer may, at the company’s sole discretion, pay workers at a rate above the minimum required and/or provide additional compensation such as bonuses, fixed salaries, PTO, insurance, incentive pay, or other benefits to any worker employed under this job order based on lawful, non-discriminatory factors including skill, performance, tenure with the employer, licensing, training, punctuality, or prior related experience.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Job Benefits
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
