Job Summary:
Cardiac Telemetry / Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced intermediate cardiac step-down unit, managing post-operative cardiac patients, arrhythmia cases, and various medical conditions. The position offers an opportunity to work night shifts with a consistent schedule.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, WI
• Position: Cardiac Telemetry / Step Down RN
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours shift starting at 7:00 PM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week with alternating weekends and holidays; on-call and call-back time may be required, with low census hours billed in hour increments
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, at least 1 year of strong cardiac experience (including Cardiac Step-Down Unit, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU), and 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience; must be able to pass EKG test within the first week of hire. Candidates must have recent EPIC charting experience of at least 1 year and experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing

• The unit is a 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down, characterized by high patient turnover and a fast-paced environment.
• Typical patient ratios are 1:4, with a variety of cardiac and medical conditions including post-op CABG, valve procedures, arrhythmias, CHF, and post-procedure monitoring.
• Candidates should be resilient, capable of managing change independently, and able to complete tasks promptly.
• Scrub colors are flexible.
• During flu season, travelers declining vaccination are required to wear masks at all times.
