Travel Registered Nurse Tele Job

Overview
Registered Nurse - Telemetry, Olathe, KS. Travel assignment starting 08/16/2026 for a 13-week contract in a short-term acute care setting with a Telemetry/Cardiac patient population. Work 3x12-hour night shifts (1900-0730). Weekly pay targeted at $2,033-$2,040 per week. No guaranteed hours. Floating to all acute care units as needed, with primary assignment on a Telemetry unit focused on cardiac care. Requires KS RN license and BLS/ACLS, EPIC experience, and the ability to care for adult and geriatric patients with rhythm monitoring and cardiac interventions.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside care to telemetry and cardiac patients, including rhythm analysis and interpretation of telemetry data
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses, including common cardiac drips (as applicable) and electrolyte management under protocol
- Monitor vitals, assess changes, and escalate deteriorations promptly to the charge nurse and/or physician
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement plan of care, discharge planning, and patient education
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record and ensure compliance with hospital policy and safety standards
- Maintain unit safety, participate in rounds, and support float coverage across acute care units as needed

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience
- Experience with post-procedure TR Band management and cardiac drug infusions (e.g., Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) and initiation of Tikosyn/Sotalol
- Ability to float to all acute care units as needed and to work 1900-0730 shifts
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced telemetry environment
- Orientation requirements as described: 8 hours non-billable; completion of CBC, DS, and lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
