Technical Service Representative - TPU

Job Overview Huntsman is seeking a Technical Service Representative – TPU to support the Global Elastomers Division located in Derry, New Hampshire. The role reports to the appropriate Technical Service leadership within the Global Elastomers Business. Job Scope Provides technical expertise and support to customers and internal stakeholders by combining hands‑on laboratory work, process troubleshooting, product evaluation, and customer engagement. Collaborates closely with Commercial, Technical & Innovation, and Operations teams to optimize product performance, resolve technical challenges, and drive customer success. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers, including process optimization and application guidance. Advise customers on resin selection, processing techniques, and equipment selection. Conduct laboratory testing, formulation trials, and data analysis to support technical and customer needs. Operate TPU laboratory equipment and perform chemical and physical testing. Design and execute experiments to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance. Investigate customer complaints and maintain proper quality documentation. Develop and manage technical service project plans, timelines, and progress tracking. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project status updates. Act as technical liaison between customers, Sales, Commercial, and Technical & Innovation teams. Gather market intelligence and provide recommendations to support business growth and competitiveness. Promote compliance with Huntsman safety standards and maintain a safe working environment. Minimum Qualifications Unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in thermoplastics, TPU, or related industry. Strong knowledge of injection molding, extrusion, and polymer processing techniques. Experience with ASTM test methods, including mechanical testing and melt index analysis. Ability to perform hands‑on laboratory and field‑based technical work. Skills & Knowledge Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and customer engagement abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical skills. Strong cross‑functional collaboration and relationship‑building capabilities. Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives. Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting TPU applications and customer-facing technical service activities. Experience presenting technical information to customers and business partners. Knowledge of competitive materials, technologies, and market trends within the TPU industry. Working Environment Laboratory and field‑based work environment. Requires customer site visits and technical support activities. Approximately 25% domestic travel with occasional international travel. Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs (20 kg) over short distances. Requires compliance with Huntsman safety policies and procedures.
