We're committed to creating a collaborative workplace where team members are supported, encouraged to grow, and empowered to provide exceptional patient care.Dermatology Veterinary AssistantWe're also expanding with a new 42,000-square-foot hospital in Falmouth, Maine, with employee well-being at the forefront.The OpportunityWe're seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Dermatology team and work closely with our board-certified dermatologist. You'll support patients and their families throughout diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up while collaborating with teams across the hospital.What you'll do:Administer medications and immunotherapy under veterinary supervisionAssist with diagnostics, including lab work, imaging, and CTSupport appointments, patient flow, and schedulingMaintain accurate medical records, treatment notes, and drug logsEducate and communicate compassionately with clientsCollaborate with Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Radiology, and other teamsProvide patient-centered care and emotional support throughout treatmentWhat We're Looking ForVeterinary Assistant experience requiredSpecialty medicine and/or dermatology experience preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentExperience with EzyVet, SmartFlow, or similar software is a plusPositive attitude and commitment to compassionate careSchedule & CompensationFull-timeMonday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Schedule may shift to Tuesday–FridaySome holidays requiredStarting pay: $25–$28/hour, based on experienceBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and long-term disability insurancePaid time off, holidays, and volunteer hours401(k) with employer matchUniform allowancePersonal pet discountPaid continuing education and professional developmentMentorship, career growth, and cross-training opportunitiesWhy PVESC?At PVESC, every voice matters.
