Data Center Facilities Technician

Data Center Operations SpecialistMaintain all data center equipment and identify potential improvements for operational efficiency.Perform hands-on operation and maintenance of data center equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, building automation and control systems, emergency generators, and fire/life/safety. Control data center environment to meet precise standards for temperature, humidity and pressure. Monitor, manage and maintain uninterruptable power source, batteries and generators to ensure uninterrupted service. Conduct data center inspection rounds to collect readings and maintain logs and documentation related to equipment. Observe outside service providers performing work within the critical environment and report hazardous materials, unsafe work practices or general non-compliance with critical facility policy. Complete periodic maintenance (PM) tasks and document activities. Clean and maintain safe computer and critical equipment rooms.Responsibilities:Ability to climb ladders, walk long distances in large complexes, safely and properly lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work outdoors, in mechanical rooms and computer environmentsOperate company vehicles, radios or assigned equipmentWilling to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends and holidays, as requiredWilling to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulationsWork in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of positionPerform other responsibilities as assignedCertifications:Possess a valid Driver's License.Hold a Universal Refrigeration Certificate.Ability to obtain government security clearance or certification (i.e., DOD or VA)General Electrical Apprenticeship Certification - Multiple IssuersOR General Electrical Training Certificate Multiple IssuersOr Mechanical Maintenance Apprenticeship Certification - Multiple IssuersOr Mechanical Maintenance Training CertificateOracle brings together the data, infrastructure, applications, and expertise to power everything from industry innovations to life-saving care.
