A growing organization in the Catoosa area is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely processing of payables.
Overview:This role manages invoice processing, payments, and vendor coordination while supporting process improvements and financial accuracy. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and code vendor invoices, ensuring accurate matching to purchase orders and resolving variances
- Prioritize and schedule payments to balance cash flow and vendor commitments
- Issue payments via ACH, check, and credit card, following internal controls and fraud prevention measures
- Reconcile assigned accounts and maintain accurate ledger activity
- Serve as a contact for vendor questions and research discrepancies
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Handle EDI transactions and monitor for accuracy
- Partner with internal teams to correct purchasing, receiving, or pricing issues
- Assist with 1099's
- Contribute to broader accounting tasks as needed
- 2+ years of recent accounts payable experience
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Must be dependable and open to a full time, onsite role
