Description

American Traveler is seeking a chemo-certified RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification and at least one year of chemotherapy experience.

Details

• Work setting is an outpatient oncology infusion clinic within a hospital system
• Adult oncology patient population receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
• Minimum of 1 year of chemotherapy nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in IV therapy, medication administration, and physiological monitoring
• Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, PO and SC medications, IV infusions, and blood products as ordered
• Provides chemotherapy education to patients and families and conducts post-visit phone triage and follow-up
• Assists physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
• Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a maximum total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before beginning another contract
• Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance and deadlines are strictly enforced
