About the Mobile Mechanic/Technician Role As a Mobile Mechanic/Technician, you’ll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field‑based role is perfect for skilled technicians who enjoy independence and variety. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light and medium‑duty vehicles, including emergency roadside service when needed. Where You’ll Make an Impact Perform onsite preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light and medium‑duty vehicles in a mobile field environment. Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency. Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance. Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems. Use advanced diagnostic tools, including handheld computers and precision instruments, to identify and fix issues fast. Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete work accurately. Road‑test vehicles to ensure every repair meets top‑quality standards. Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry‑standard repair times. Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving. Take ownership of a company‑issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, ensuring safety compliance. Jump in wherever needed – we’re a team that supports each other. What Makes You a Great Fit At least 3 years of hands‑on auto or diesel tech experience working on light to medium‑duty vehicles. Strong communication skills – you can connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike. Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs. Ready for the outdoors – rain or shine at customer yards. Independent, dependable and self‑motivated – you take pride in getting the job done right. A positive attitude and safety‑first mindset. Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license. Bring your own hand tools and we’ll supply everything else. Work Environment Work in dynamic, high‑traffic areas – safety and precision are key. Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment. Safely handle chemicals, oils and grease as part of repair work. Be ready to lift, move and position heavy equipment or components. Stay active – you will bend, kneel, crawl and crouch to access vehicle components. Work outdoors in all weather conditions – rain or shine, our team gets it done.
