Surgical Technician

Job Title Certified Surgical Technician (Vascular) Unit / Specialty Peripheral Vascular Team Job Summary Seeking a Certified Surgical Technician with experience in peripheral vascular procedures, including open and endovascular interventions. This role involves direct patient care alongside a specialized vascular team. Key Responsibilities Perform surgical preparations and provide direct assistance during open and endovascular vascular procedures. Manage instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures. Assist with wire management for endovascular cases such as leg angiograms, EVARs, and fistulagrams. Support open vascular procedures including carotid and femoral endarterectomies, open aortic repairs, and femoral-popliteal bypasses. Maintain a sterile field and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other members of the surgical team. Schedule / Shift Rotating nights, weekends, and holiday call. Required Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist. Experience in peripheral vascular procedures. Proficiency in performing and assisting with endovascular procedures. Experience assisting with open vascular procedures. Experience Demonstrated experience in open vascular procedures such as carotid and femoral endarterectomies, open aortic repairs, and femoral‑popliteal bypasses. Proven experience in endovascular procedures including wire management for cases such as leg angiograms, EVARs, and fistulagrams. Prior experience working within a specialized peripheral vascular team is highly desirable. Certifications Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Skills Surgical instrumentation and equipment proficiency. Sterile technique and universal precautions. Anatomy and physiology knowledge. Teamwork and communication abilities. Problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
