Diesel Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a Diesel Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Shreveport, LA. This role is ideal for a motivated technician who is building a career in diesel repair, fleet maintenance, and heavy equipment service. The Diesel Technician will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles to help ensure safe, reliable operation. Trade school certificate, or associates degree preferred. ASE certifications are a major bonus, and on the job training will be considered. Key Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, brake inspections, and tire repairs. Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, steering, braking, fuel, and engine performance issues. Replace components such as alternators, starters, water pumps, belts, hoses, injectors, and batteries. Use hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment to complete repairs accurately and efficiently. Complete work orders, maintain accurate repair documentation, and follow safety procedures and maintenance standards. Compensation and Benefits Direct hire opportunity. Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 per year.
