*OB Technician - Labor and Delivery

Responsibilities The OB Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization and function of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The technician works cooperatively with and under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides direct care to patients of various ages (neonate, adolescent, adult), and interacts with physicians, patients, families/significant others, hospital staff and community agencies in providing basic care. The technician is responsible for completion and processing of birth certificates, and "Declaration of Paternity" forms. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent BLS Certification within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program, Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent (state specific) Pay Transparency Desert Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation for this role. A reasonable compensation estimate, including wages, benefits and other forms of compensation, ranges from $21.00 to $22.98 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, taking into consideration factors such as skill set, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
