Job Summary
Join a leading academic medical center as a Medical Laboratory Scientist II specializing in Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine . In this role, you'll perform advanced laboratory testing, ensure accurate results, maintain quality standards, troubleshoot equipment, and support patient care through specialized transfusion services.
Pay:
- $26.85–$45.04/hr (based on experience)
- $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Schedule:
- Full-Time Night Shift (4x10s)
- Option 1: Sunday–Wednesday | 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Option 2: Friday–Monday | 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Chemical Science, or Biological Science, or Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
- MT/MLS (ASCP/AMT), MLT (ASCP/AMT), or ASCP categorical certification (based on education)
- Blood Bank experience required, including:
- Type & Screen
- Antibody Identification
- DAT & Eluate
- Phenotyping & Antigen Typing
- Blood product modifications (irradiation, syringe aliquots)
- MTP and emergency release protocols
- MLT candidates are welcome if they have Blood Bank experience in a 500+ bed hospital
