This position may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.

Our State Program 5310 Coordinator position serves as the state program coordinator for the state’s 5310 program, a series of federal public transit grants serving seniors and people with disabilities. It provides project leadership for statewide projects developing effective and comprehensive statewide procedures, establishing equitable funding levels and service allocation needs, evaluating performance, and consolidating program activities so that statewide program goals, policies and procedures are maintained and to ensure efficient and effective program administration.

As part of this work, it provides guidance to 5310 transit stakeholders on federal and state program requirements and oversight of the 5310 Vehicle Capital and Mobility Management Programming to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. It provides guidance with the activities of stakeholders and other staff at all levels as they relate to the 5310 Vehicle Capital and Mobility Management Programming, providing information at public forums. It provides support to planning staff in the development of the state’s local transportation coordination plans, the regional investment plans for the 5310 program.

Here are the Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of advanced professional program management experience that demonstrates the following:
(Note: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning, Finance, or Public Administration will substitute for 6 months of advanced professional work experience.)
• Experience administering and evaluating grant-funded programs.
• Experience working with public-sector programs that includes experience with government policies, regulations, and administrative processes.
• Experience with federal Transit Administration laws, regulations, and Administrative Guidance or transportation voucher programs.
• Experience with governmental budgeting and legislative processes.
