Case Manager Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) Crisis Care Counselor- Mobile

We are looking for a Case Manager Recovery Support Specialist RSS, Crisis Care Counselor- Mobile who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.Schedule: 6pm-6am, Wed, Thur, Sun, Every other FridayWhat you will be doing?The Crisis Care System is a continuum of crisis response services comprised of a 24/7 Crisis Line and Mobile Crisis Response team. This position creates the opportunity for a person with lived experience who is in recovery from mental health diagnosis or co-occurring substance use disorder. A Crisis Care Counselor-Mobile Recovery Support Specialist is responsible for the following:Utilize lived experience with mental health diagnosis to support clients with, (1) decreasing mental health dysfunction, (2) increase community functioning, and (3) assist clients in achieving recovery goals.Providing crisis intervention, de-escalation, emotional support and suicide risk assessment to callers in crisis via phone through AID’s 24/7 crisis line.Manage and assess incoming Mobile Crisis referrals from 988, local police departments, and other community services via phone through AID’s 24/7 crisis line.Provide in person Mobile Crisis Response with a Crisis Counselor anywhere in Kendall and Southern Kane County when a person is experiencing a mental health crisis that cannot be de-escalated over the phone.Collaborate with a team of service providers within AID and throughout the social service community to ensure that all client’s needs are being met to promote and maintain community stabilization.Maintain documentation required for crisis intervention services provided on the phone and in the communityAttend to scheduled work hours and be flexible to meet client and program needs, as assigned by Program Manager or Director. Respond to calls from shift start to shift end. Respond to calls upon being dispatched Provide Crisis Line Coverage when not providing mobile response.Provide effective individual crisis counseling and crisis intervention assessments.Consult with family members, case manager, previous and existing service providers, and other outside resources as appropriate Use intervention tactics to reduce symptomologyResponsible for providing independent program coverage when scheduled or in emergency situations.Complete clinical documentation appropriately to meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules. Provide effective telephone counseling service through active and empathetic listening and motivational interviewing.Complete required documentation on a timely basis Billing within the next 2 shifts, AND prior to program billing deadlines. Complete MCRT Daily logs, Dispatch logs, 988 follow up and icarol contact logs, before the end of the working shiftAttend clinical supervision a minimum of once per month & as assigned.Must meet monthly minimum predetermined productivity standards. When ApplicableComplete all necessary assessments including the crisis intervention and suicide assessment and required documentation including billing notes in accordance with Rule 132 standards Develops and implements crisis safety plans and resource follow up in collaboration with the client, other providers, and other parties as identified by the client, following the standards of Rule 132, payers, and accreditation bodiesProvide case management follow up for clients to support linkage to servicesMaintain records of individuals served on the MCR-T in accordance to Rule 132, payers, and accreditation bodies. Assist MCR-T Lead in conducting regular quality assurance of MCR-T records.Maintain open and effective communication with agency and provider staff, family, and others in response to client’s identified needs, and client assistance/service needs.Navigate Cx360, have a working knowledge of opening clients to programming and ensure client profile is completedNavigate crisis line documentation service, working knowledge of submitting documentation, finding frequent callers, and submitting sunshine documentationRecognize emergency situations and take appropriate action. Contact Manager and Director per procedure. Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field preferred. Bilingual-Spanish preferredLicense/certifications: CRSS (Certified Recovery Support Specialist) certification preferred, or certification requirements should be met within one year of hire, and certification obtained within 18 months (about 1 and a half years) and maintained throughout employment.Experience: Some mental health experience preferred, individual must be in recovery from mental health illness or co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorderPhysical: Position requires ability to communicate in-person, telephone and in group settings. Requires frequent standing; walking, navigation of stairs on a regular basis, Ability to provide services in clients’ homes and in the community. Ability to drive and work overnights is required.Equipment: Position operates in a professional office environment and off-site in various community settings.
