Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility. Job Title: Lift Operator Job Status: Seasonal Compensation and Benefits: * Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $17.50 to $19.10+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. * Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Job Summary: To execute the proper, efficient, and courteous loading and unloading of our guests. To inspect, record, and report the condition of all lift machinery. To provide maximum ticket security by ensuring each boarding skier/snowboarder has a valid pass product. To maintain proper and efficient levels of snow throughout the entire lift station area. To understand and promote Copper’s products and services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Inspection and safe operation of lifts, mountain coaster, tubing hill, and RFID gates * Execute opening procedures, daily operations and closing procedures for Lift Operations
- Loading and unloading public
- Knowledgeably and efficiently administer emergency procedures including lift
- Provide an active and efficient flow of guests through the maze
- Ensure ticket security by monitoring RFID gate access for validation of
- Excellent ongoing guest service and extensive snow shoveling
- To communicate and make quick decisions and be a source of knowledgeable
- Is honest and has the highest integrity
- Ability to show empathy
- Is able to handle and manage confidential information
- Maintains a professional appearance & adheres to all grooming guidelines to
- Follows established policies and procedures
- Is supportive of Core Values
- Sets the example for others and is above reproach

- Is flexible with hours and days of work and is punctual. Expectations of no
- Is able to work any hours of the day, any days of the week (October – May)
- Is able to work through the end of the season
- Prioritizes and re-prioritizes personal time and work, to have good balance
- Must be willing to work 5 days/week, weekends and holidays included
- Must be willing to work as early as 4:00AM and as late as mid-night while
- Must be able to meet Copper’s grooming standards
- Must have previous customer/guest relations experience
- Must desire an outdoor job that requires manual labor
- Must have the ability to stand outside for long periods of time in cold
- Must follow strict safety guidelines in the operation of lift machinery
- Must be fluent in English and be able to read and write in English
- Must complete the required training class and pass a written test
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to recognize and respond to audible signals (i.e. telephones,
- Intermediate skiing or riding ability
- Owns equipment (skis/snowboard, boots, helmet, goggles)
