Insurance Defense Legal Assistant

Job Description
JOB REQUIREMENTS
\n- \n
- Set hearings, depositions, mediations and meetings for attorney \n
- Calendar deadlines for discovery, trial, etc. \n
- Scan and save all documents and mail into the Firm’s Document Management System \n
- Prepare documents for filing with court (hearing notices, mediation notices, deposition notices, notices of filing, etc.) \n
- Process all invoices for subpoenas, document requests, deposition transcripts, etc. \n
- Save all email correspondence between attorney, paralegal and opposing counsel \n
- Update/Keep track of case list, trial list and closing of files \n
- Open new files - run conflict checks, request parties to be added to AIM, set up new file \n
- Transcribe dictation for attorneys (If Applicable) \n
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel and vendors \n
- Handle travel arrangements for attorneys \n
- Set up conference room(s) for client meetings \n
