About The Job

Silicon Couloir is seeking a visionary executive, master communicator, and collaborative leader to guide our next chapter of impact. This is a full-time position that reports to the Board of Directors.

As our "Fundraiser-in-Chief" and Chief Ecosystem Builder, you will use exceptional communication skills to bring our mission to life, inspiring donors and partners as you steward a trusted, mentor-driven network dedicated to triple-bottom-line principles (People, Profit, Planet). In this role, you will champion high-impact programs like Pitch Day and TEAMS, cultivate vital philanthropic partnerships, and guide a talented team in fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Location Overview

Imagine building your career with the Tetons just outside your door. Jackson, Wyoming is a small mountain town with a big sense of adventure, surrounded by wild landscapes and a deeply engaged community. With extraordinary access to skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, climbing, and open space, the outdoors isn’t something you save for vacation. It’s part of how you live, connect, and call this place home.

The position is based in Jackson, WY and includes some option for hybrid remote work from home. Travel regionally and state-wide is required several times per year.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual salary of $130,000 - $150,000 (depending on relevant experience and qualifications) plus annual bonus. Benefits include: Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, Retirement Plan, Holidays, Wellness Plan

Job Responsibilities

Ecosystem & Strategic Leadership

● Empower entrepreneurs and mentors to build, grow, and sustain businesses and services in the Teton region.

● Serve as a trusted convener, cultivating relationships with entrepreneurs, Trustees, mentors, investors, donors, civic and community leaders, and strategic partners.

● Translate the mission into strategic priorities, informed by trends in entrepreneurship, rural innovation, and community-aligned economic development.

  Program Stewardship & Impact

● Guide the strategy and evolution of programs such as Pitch Day and TEAMS to support entrepreneur success and mentor effectiveness.

● Oversee The Cowork Space’s financial viability, mission alignment, and value for entrepreneurs and mentors.

● Use feedback and data to improve programs while staying true to the mission.

  Fundraising & Financial Sustainability

● Lead an annual major gifts strategy, including planned giving and all stages of the donor lifecycle.

● Make a compelling case for support and partner with the Board and staff on events that connect donors with entrepreneurs and community impact.

● Diversify revenue through corporate sponsorships, grants, and Cowork Space earned income.

● Guide staff in maintaining fundraising systems, including the CRM.

● Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, revenue forecasting, and long-term sustainability; regularly report fundraising results, risks, and opportunities to the Board.

● Ensure financial transparency and compliance with Silicon Couloir’s accountability standards.

Board Partnership & Governance

● Serve as the primary liaison to the Board, supporting engagement in fundraising, ambassadorship, and governance.

● Partner with the Board on strategy, risk management, and fiduciary oversight.

Organizational Leadership & Culture

● Lead, inspire, and retain a small, high-impact staff; foster trust, accountability, and the organization’s guiding principles.

● Develop and monitor policies, compliance, and operational systems.

External Relations & Representation

● Represent Silicon Couloir publicly and advocate for entrepreneurship as a driver of community vitality and resilience.

● Strengthen partnerships with the non-profit community, regional, state, and national entrepreneurship organizations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge

● Ecosystem Dynamics : Deep understanding of entrepreneurial ecosystems, social enterprise, triple-bottom-line principles, and mentor-driven venture support models (including mentor-driven models like MIT VMS)

● Nonprofit Leadership a Plus : Established expertise and track record in governance, Board–ED relations, fiscal management, and fundraising strategies for high-impact nonprofits.

● Economic Development : Familiarity with community-based economic development, rural innovation, and rigorous monitoring and evaluation frameworks.

Skills

● Relationship Management and Communication : Exceptional interpersonal, and public-speaking abilities with a proven track record in ecosystem convening, donor stewardship, and long-term stakeholder engagement.

● Strategic Execution : Proficiency in long-term strategic planning, prioritization, and translating mission into operational goals

● Organizational Leadership : Demonstrated success in staff development, performance management, financial oversight, and budgeting. Ability to lead, engage and inspire a small team. xuwmhxw
