Front Office- Insurance Coordinator (Bilingual)

Insurance Coordinator Reports to: Practice Manager Key Partnership: Clinical, Billing, and Operations Department: Operations Salary: $15-16/hr (based on experience on admin field) Classification: Non-Exempt Status: Full Time About this role: Community Dental Partners is looking for someone who loves being around people. The Insurance Coordinator is someone that has the opportunity to bring a smile to the patient(s), to be able to give them a wonderful patient experience. The Insurance Coordiantor is primarily responsible for insurance verification. The Insurance Coordinator is able to support the patient, staff, and doctors in many different ways. Job Responsibilities Greet patients upon arrival Collect paperwork and insurance information directly from patients and scan all documents. Change and update patient status in the computer according to established guidelines. Handle routine questions over the phone concerning appointments, policies, insurance, and treatments. Update the notes in the system to reflect any changes made Verifying insurance and frequencies when needed. Review the schedule in advance to ensure appointments and patients are due before confirming them. Confirm patients following the established confirmation protocol. Can reappoint examination appointments, refers other appointments to the proper person for reappointment if necessary Clean/maintain front office area/lobby Collect fees per patient’s insurance or visit. In this role, you will help the office manager create claims. Perform other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications Administrative experience is required Experience working with insurance is preferred Dental Experience is not required but experience in another administrative or insurance-related setting is acceptable.
