Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments to evaluate residents' mental health status. Formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans based on clinical findings. Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy options. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure top-tier psychiatric care for residents. Conduct 15-minute follow-ups (on average) and 30–45-minute new patient assessments. Prescribe and administer psychiatric medications as necessary. Monitor and adjust medication regimens to optimize effectiveness and minimize side effects. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to residents. Implement therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Offer education and support to residents and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options. Promote mental health awareness and wellness among residents. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all assessments and interventions. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health care services within the facility. Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes. Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Nurse; completion of Advanced Practice Nurse Program for Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state in which you’ve applied (OH, PA, WV, FL, IN, VA). Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Active and unrestricted DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) (We will help obtain). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in long-term care facilities. Maintain clinical competency & collaboration with Psychiatrist (we will provide). Direct experience with long-term care communities is preferred as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Ability to travel within the territory (75-mile radius of home residence). Active and unrestricted driver’s license.
