Picture this: in a spotless, climate-controlled shop, you’re the expert setting up multi-axis CNC operations that transform raw stock into turbine and generator components. Every cut aligns to the drawing. Every check confirms the tolerance. The parts you complete move the world—across Steam Turbine, Large Generator, Gas Turbine, and Combustion product lines.

Your mission

• Plan, set up, and execute CNC programs on transitional features, integrating machining, welding, bonding, and manual techniques.
• Decode complex blueprints, sketches, and specs to choose tooling and methods.
• Operate material-handling equipment—jib and bridge cranes, forklifts—to stage, load, and unload parts safely.
• Work within established operating procedures and hold the line on safety and quality.
• Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as part of routine operations.

Qualifications that set you apart

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 3+ years in CNC operations, including:
  • Machining
  • Welding
  • Laser applications
  • Coating machines (specific experience preferred)
• Credentials: Fork truck/crane license (or capability to obtain immediately upon selection); Career Readiness / Work Keys Certificate – Silver Status.
• Technical mastery: CNC operation and setups, safe loading/unloading, QA adherence, advanced metrology, expert-level drawing interpretation, and strong shop mathematics.
• Readiness: Able to wear a respirator; pass a Process Operator Proficiency Test; and successfully complete standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.
