This position requires an intermediate skill level with performing electrical and mechanical inspections, start-up maintenance on the equipment we sell, repairs, and service contract maintenance. This is a full-time opportunity for an energetic go-getter. An ideal candidate will be customer service-oriented and work well with others. Position requires a high level of correspondence with Project Managers, Service Coordinators and customers.ResponsibilitiesProvide high quality preventative maintenance for customers under contract with MPSW ServiceDiagnose and repair HVAC equipmentAbility to perform basic HVAC maintenance including filter changes, coil cleaning and chiller tube brushingIndependently determine necessary parts and materials which will be needed to complete projectsUnderstands basic refrigeration and electricalUses digital multimeters, refrigerant gauges etc. for troubleshooting all types of HVAC EquipmentAbility to operate refrigerant handling/recovery equipmentAbility to operate torch and braze refrigerant piping/componentsAccurately reports detailed information to SupervisorWillingness to travel for both service and manufacturer trainingAdvises owner/representative of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be takenSuggest additional services that are beneficial to customerWorks in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfactionSubmits required paperwork to Service Coordinator in a timely mannerMust work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all timesPerforms other duties as assigned.Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.The Required ProfileHigh School Diploma or equivalentTwo (2) to five (5) years of experience working as a Service Technician in a commercial HVAC environmentMust have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and be a minimum of 25 years of age for insurance purposesMust have current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 TrainingOperating knowledge of Microsoft 365 and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)Advanced skill level performing Electrical inspections, startups, repairs and service contract maintenanceExperienced with multiple manufacturer software systems (i.e. ABB, Wattmaster, MCS, Trane, Carrier, JCI)Ability to work in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), climbing/working at elevated heights, etc.Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 poundsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and balance requirements of multiple and varied dutiesMust be able to travel for out-of-town projects and trainingOther Skills & AbilitiesLanguage Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
