Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Telemetry

Location

Plymouth, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekends and holidays expected | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical Telemetry floors during night shift hours
• Float to all Med Surg Telemetry floors as well as overflow areas as needed
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and ECG rhythms, applying knowledge of dysrhythmia recognition
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with unit protocols and safety standards
• Apply knowledge of Critical Paths in the coordination and delivery of patient care
• Must pass Dysrhythmia and Medication competency exams (85% passing score, one attempt only) prior to assignment start

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• Current AHA ACLS Certification required
• Must pass Telemetry Competency Exam prior to assignment (85% minimum, one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit)
• Documented professional development activities required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Familiarity with Critical Paths and care coordination in a telemetry setting
• Experience floating to multiple units within a hospital system
