This role ensures accuracy in contractor applications, lead constructability and QA/QC reviews, and supports contract administration processes. The position also provides leadership to projects are delivered in compliance with safety standards, specifications, and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage project budgets to track monthly expenditures on project-by-project basisConduct or direct the verification of construction quantities for contractor applications for paymentPrepare staffing and cost estimates for new projectsConduct constructability reviews which may include roadway projects, sanitary and storm drainage projects, pump stations, generators, retaining walls, bridge replacements (including movable bridges), culvertsOversee or conduct construction tasks including bid reviews, contract award evaluations, verification of bond and insurance submittals, issuance of Notice to Proceed letters, construction and pre-construction meetingsEnsure project QA/QC compliance efforts in accordance with strict adherence to QA/ QC and Safety practices & standardsProvide leadership and direction by mentoring and motivating staff including training, performance feedback, technical guidance, client relations, financial management and brainstormingChair preconstruction meetings and prepare meeting minutes for projectsGather GIS assets and prepare projects as-builts for close-outQualifications & SkillsBachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with minimum of 10+ years of experience demonstrating increased responsibility from Construction Inspector level responsibilities upwardProfessional Engineer (PE) license in good standing is highly preferred, but not required.
