Position Details Work Location: Sacramento County Job Code #: JC-517334 Position #(s): 051-640-5841-XXX Working Title: Auditor Classification: STAFF SERVICES MANAGEMENT AUDITOR Salary: $4,470.00 - $5,330.00 (A) / $4,611.00 - $5,770.00 (B) / $5,528.00 - $7,269.00 (C) # of Positions: 5 Telework: Hybrid Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Facility: Division of Audits Job Description and Duties Review and analyze accounts and records of the auditee to determine compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Perform audits independently to fulfill contractual agreements, statutory and constitutional responsibilities using software such as Microsoft Office and TeamMate; document engagement results with clear language and develop recommendations for corrective action. Learn and apply SCO's Engagement Manual policies, specific program procedures and protocols, professional auditing standards, and common auditing techniques. Assist in planning and completing assignments within budgeted hours; advise the auditor‑in‑charge and/or Senior Management Auditor on engagement progress, potential issues, and factors affecting timeliness and issuance of engagement reports. Special Requirements Educational Requirement: a copy of your degree, transcripts, or degree evaluation is required for all applications. A resume is required. Must take the Staff Services Management Auditor Examination.
