Network Engineer

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain high‑availability LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise networking, cloud connectivity, and security, and will mentor junior staff while driving continuous improvement of our network infrastructure. ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement LAN, WLAN, and WAN solutions that meet business requirements. Configure and install servers, routers, switches, and other network devices.Administer Palo Alto, Cisco, and Fortinet firewalls. Design, test, and enforce access authentication, VPN, and disaster‑recovery procedures.Configure and manage Cisco core, WAN, and management switches, VLANs, and ASR platforms. Implement BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols.Load Balancing & DNSOperate F5 load balancers and manage DNS services (Infoblox, Cisco DNS).Configure and manage Azure and AWS networking components (VPN, Gateway, NSG, routing).Monitor network performance and integrity using tools such as Logic Monitor and Live Action. Resolve escalated issues across cloud and on‑prem infrastructure.Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Python, or Perl; monitor automation effectiveness.Mentor team members on technical issues. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and network diagrams.Identify and recommend enhancements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).8+ years in senior network engineering or administration roles.CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, or equivalent professional certification preferred.LAN/WLAN/WAN design and deploymentCisco IOS, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, Infoblox, Azure, AWSRouting protocols (BGP, OSPF)Firewall and security best practicesPowerShell, Python, Perl scriptingLogic Monitor, Live Action, and other monitoring toolsLinux OS for network appliance supportAdvanced knowledge of Linux OS for appliance supportVMware, Hyper‑V, and storage environments.Strong verbal and written communication; ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.Experience with datacenter build and virtualization.
