Group Counselor – Groups Recover Together Overview: At Groups, we know recovery is possible – and no one should have to do it alone. As a Counselor, you’ll lead dynamic group therapy sessions and be a vital part of our member‑centered care teams. You’ll work in a mission‑driven environment where compassion, integrity, and human connection drive real transformation. Responsibilities Lead 2–3 one‑hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence‑based curriculum. Facilitate group discussions using a “plug and play” approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework. Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches. Monitor member progress and document outcomes. Support a positive, recovery‑oriented environment for members. Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission. Qualifications Active clinical license or certification based upon state regulations (LADC, CADC, LCAC, LCSW, LPC, LMHC, etc.) 2+ years of experience leading groups in a substance use treatment setting. Tech‑savvy: comfortable with EMRs, telehealth platforms, and Google Workspace. Commitment to high‑quality, compassionate care. Ability to work some evening hours to support member schedules.
