Lead Athletic Trainer - Watford City

Job Summary Evaluate, plan, instruct, and monitor athletic training programs to help athletes prevent damage, restore function, and reach maximum level of independence. Evaluate athletes’ sports related injuries, physical conditions, and needs; recommend a scientific care plan. Implement and monitor rehabilitation and reconditioning programs following athlete’s diagnosis. Document and interpret information from medical records, physicians, and family. Utilize appropriate testing/evaluation techniques to assess injuries, including concussions; perform concussion testing. Provide instruction to other athletic trainers. Schedule athletic training coverage for sporting events. Establish and approve master athletic training schedule. Assist sports medicine leaders with athletic training budget. Coordinate sports‑related functions or programs. Compile and submit monthly data collection to Athletic Training Manager. Qualifications Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure. Minimum of five years in an athletic training setting preferred. Must be certified by the board of certification and licensed and/or registered in state(s) of practice or possess multi‑state licensure privileges. Driver’s license may be required based on facility needs and must meet medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category I or III drivers.
