Inventory Clerk

About the Position The Inventory Clerk maintains inventory levels and accuracy in a distribution center. The role involves reporting, physical inventory, system audits, and using the inventory management system to prepare and track materials and products for shipping and receiving demands, ensuring customer needs are met across various sites. Responsibilities Maintain perpetual inventory of materials and products, generating applicable inventory reports. Perform daily cycle count activities and inventory audits, tracking and monitoring all damaged product and providing reports to leadership. Verify clerical inventory records against physical inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and report findings. Coordinate product recalls, holds/releases, and product infestation audits as required. Monitor pest control program when required at the site. When responsible for quality functions, ensure the facility is inspection ready for standards such as SQFI, FDA, or other customer needs. Facilitate quality / regulated training and coordinate the site’s quality management program. Maintain the site’s quality management portal and draft or revise site SOPs as needed. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Industry‑specific experience (e.g., food grade) may be required based on the site. Familiarity with ISO requirements preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong attention to detail. Pass background and drug screening.
