• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

• Average Daily Volume: 30 patients/day

• Case Mix: Trauma, Acute Care Surgery

• EMR System: Epic

• Support Staff: PA/NPs: 2

• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes

PROCEDURES

• Laparoscopic Surgery

• Liver surgery

• Sigmoidoscopy

• Chest tube insertion

• Central line insertion

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: Board Eligible

• Licenses: Licensed in AR

• Certifications: ATLS

• Experience: Acute care surgery experience required

• Other Qualifications: Proficiency in Epic EMR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide on-call coverage for acute care surgery and trauma

• Perform emergency department consultations and urgent surgeries

• Manage trauma cases, including both operative and non-operative management

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for patient care

• Maintain continuous coverage while permanent recruitment is ongoing
