Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• BLS Certification
• 2 years' experience as a certified OR tech / Surg Tech in a surgical environment
• For CVOR positions, 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
• CST
• At least 1 prior travel assignment
• Experience with general, urology, ENT, and OBGYN case types
• Comfort with open abdominal cases and willingness to be trained in C-sections

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0700-1700
• Operating hours: Monday-Friday, 0700-1730
• Rotating day off
• Weekend call only
• Call required, with 6-7 call shifts per month on average
• Weekday call is typically 1-2 shifts and extends until 0700 the following morning
• Weekend call is typically every 4th or 5th weekend and extends from end of shift Friday until Monday at 0700
• Response time for call: 20 minutes
• May float to inpatient areas as a task person/helping hands without taking a patient assignment
